Know Yourself
Know yourself - the "fil rouge", or common theme, of Season 1. We often refer to the importance of knowing yourself when it comes to making decisions and overcoming life challenges in our episodes. How do we really get to know ourselves? Eric gives some sage advice to Laurianne who is on her own journey to discover herself:
• Knowing yourself makes it easier to make certain decisions about your life [1:30]
• Put yourself in different situations and experiences [6:13]
• If you can't - start with philosophy and question yourself about your origin, your culture [8:20]
• Know yourself by spending time with yourself, alone, instead of trying to escape your reality [10:55]
• Be self-aware and learn to understand how your actions/reactions impact yourself and others [11:34]
• Ask yourself "What is my biggest flaw?" and "How do I fix it?" [12:43]
• Ask yourself "What do I look for in a partner?" [15:25]
• Change your jobs to continue learning [17:33]
• Start connecting with more people [18:38]
• Find your own practices that will help you to go inward and understand yourself better [20:50]
